Planning permissions that were previously granted and had an expiry date between the start of lockdown (23 March 2020) and the end of 2020, will now have that consent extended to 1 April 2021.

This will enable any projects that were delayed commencing due to COVID-19, to start later without needing to renew the consent.

Typically that will be Applications that were approved in 2017 - on the basis that work normally needs to commence within 3 years from its Consent Notice.
